Our design-build team at Wethered Timberworks LLC has been vigorously working to bring the 2024 Old Twelve Mile Road project to life. After a few design charrettes, we decided to set aside a previously conceived design from another firm that unfortunately did not align with the homeowners' vision. Instead, our team, led by Mike Wethered, has crafted a bespoke conceptual design that truly reflects the owners' desires and expectations.
In our recent meetings, we've collaborated closely with various MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contractors to address and innovate solutions around Mike's strategic plans for the power systems. This is essential for supporting the expansion that nearly doubles the living space of the existing home. Our integrated approach ensures that every aspect of the design is considered, from energy efficiency to aesthetic harmony, resulting in a cohesive plan that meets the homeowners' needs.
Currently, we're in the process of refining our construction drawings. Tim Wethered is diligently working on the necessary revisions in response to a few insightful comments from the plan reviewer at the Stevens County Building Department. This collaborative effort ensures that all regulatory requirements are met while staying true to our high standards of quality and innovation. We anticipate resubmitting these revised drawings promptly, which will facilitate the swift issuance of the required permits.
Looking ahead, once the permits are secured, we are excited to announce it will SOON be "GO TIME" for demolition and civil work to commence. This phase will mark a significant step forward in transforming our conceptual designs into tangible reality. The demolition and groundwork will lay the foundation for the expansive new living spaces, which include state-of-the-art features and modern amenities designed to enhance the homeowners' lifestyle.
Throughout this project, we have maintained a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency. By incorporating advanced building materials and eco-friendly practices, we aim to minimize the environmental impact while maximizing the home's energy efficiency.
